Small businesses often suffer from a constrained budget, leaving them with no option but to compromise on a few basic elements of the business. Though, it remains important to invest carefully when the business is small, however; the management should never pull back from spending on branding.

Branding helps bestow a brand with an identity that is relevant enough to lead the target audience towards building a connection. Hence, not paying enough attention to this particular aspect can make the business’s time and efforts go into vain. Therefore; designing a brand’s identity should remain the top-most priority of a business.

There have been several small businesses, in each kind of industry, the branding of which has grabbed great attention. This blog is focused on the examples of few such companies.

Created by Bluerock Design, Honeysuckle Oyster Farm’s branding is a perfect example of how a great idea can be turned into reality. In order to come up with an exceptionally great design, the designers went an extra mile to visit the farm for the sake of a clear understanding of the business. Hence, it was the research that led the designers to have an eye for perfection.

The final result showed the use of grey and blue; grey depicting the sky whereas, blue representing water. Also, the lettermark of the company demonstrates an image of an oyster in place of the letter ‘O’. The logo also flaunts its carefully selected font which gives out a feeling of strength and trust.

With the right elements and precise research, Bluerock Design was able to come up with a distinct yet relevant brand design for HOF.

Brave Company came up with the branding of a small eatery named Mexout. The eatery needed a fresh and modern look for its branding and interior. Hence, a classy basement look was bestowed to it. The designers also came up with 20 logo concepts, all possessing the same look and feel, for the client to choose from. The final result was a brand that went well with the cement walls, painted floors, and leather couches of the eatery.

The effort of designing the cans of AND UNION was in-house, however; the precision and creativity with which the work was carried out were exceptional. The designers wanted to challenge the perception of beer cans being cheap. Hence, they came up with a design, for the cans, that was made to be so appealing that people hesitated in throwing their cans away. The design was minimal yet classy enough to grab the attention of the customers.

Keeping the fact that the designers did an exceptional work in terms of branding, aside the best part of the project was that the designers were successful in making the customers reject the earlier perception of beers cans being substandard by means of their design.

Treadwell is a company that builds practical floors that last. The company wished for a brand that could stir confidence in its potential clients. Hence, Treadwell approached Perky Bros for initiating the branding task. The designers at Perky Bros gave the brand a bold blue color together with granting it with a geometric line sketch of a buffalo, as its icon. The final result hence was a brand that depicted strength and was minimal yet modern in nature.

Aviso Law Office is a small law firm that desired for a professional look for its brand. Being a small business branding agency, Holy Sheep hopped into the opportunity while coming up with a pretty strong logo for the brand. The icon, as developed by the designers, shows a few lines forming the letters ‘A’ and ‘V’. The lines can also be seen intersecting one another while being enveloped in a circle. The black, white, and red color scheme, as decided for the brand, helps enhance Aviso’s professional look.

The designers were also given the task of designing the brand’s website for which the same color scheme was followed. Also, a single page website was built to avoid complications.

 

How to Create a Brand Identity?

Paying attention to all the examples given above, it is pretty evident that even the smallest of a business can ace its branding if given in the hands of a good branding agency. These agencies are good at building small business plans upon which implementation is done to grant the brand with an identity.

Hence, having the right resources, a business can always come up with a brand that explains its idea with perfection and rightness.
